【新詞新意】BYOD的興起.

　　智能手機、PAD、電腦等個人智能設(shè)備的廣泛使用，正在改變著我們的世界，不僅豐富了人們的娛樂生活，也成為學(xué)習(xí)、工作的好幫手。帶著自己的“愛機” 即bring your own device去上課、上班已經(jīng)漸漸成為當(dāng)下一種流行趨勢。

　　Bring your own device (BYOD) means the policy of permitting employees to bring personally owned mobile devices (laptops, tablets, and smart phones) to their workplace, and use those devices to access privileged company information and applications. The term is also used to describe the same practice applied to students using personally owned devices in education settings.

　　自帶設(shè)備辦公(BYOD)指一些企業(yè)允許員工攜帶自己的筆記本電腦、平板電腦、智能手機等移動終端設(shè)備到辦公場所，并可以用這些設(shè)備獲取公司內(nèi)部信息、使用企業(yè)特許應(yīng)用的一種政策。這個術(shù)語還可以用來形容學(xué)生在教育場所使用個人自帶智能設(shè)備的行為。

　　BYOD is making significant inroads in the business world, with about 60% of employees already using their own technology at work. In most cases, businesses simply can&apost block the trend. Some believe that BYOD may help employees be more productive. Others say it increases employee morale and convenience by using their own devices and makes the company look like a flexible and attractive employer.

　　自帶設(shè)備辦公已經(jīng)在商界取得重大進展，有60%的員工已經(jīng)在工作中使用自己的技術(shù)設(shè)備。在多數(shù)情況下，企業(yè)根本難以阻止這個趨勢。有人認為自帶設(shè)備辦公會提高員工的工作效率，還有人認為使用自己的設(shè)備能鼓舞士氣、方便員工，從而讓公司顯得既靈活又有魅力。

　　BYOD first entered in 2009, courtesy of Intel when it recognized an increasing tendency among its employees to bring their own devices to work and connect them to the corporate network. According to research by Logicalis, high-growth markets (including Brazil, Russia, India, UAE, and Malaysia) demonstrate a much higher propensity to use their own device at work. Almost 75% of users in these countries did so, compared to 44% in the more mature developed markets.

　　BYOD一詞最初于2009年出現(xiàn)，源于因特爾公司當(dāng)時發(fā)現(xiàn)越來越多的公司員工攜帶自己的設(shè)備上班并將其連接公司內(nèi)部網(wǎng)。根據(jù)國際IT解決方案和管理服務(wù)提供商Logicalis的調(diào)研，高增長市場(包括巴西、俄羅斯、印度、阿拉伯聯(lián)合酋長國和馬來西亞)更偏好自帶設(shè)備辦公。這些國家近75%的企業(yè)員工都會這樣做，相比之下，在更加成熟發(fā)達的經(jīng)濟體，這一比例則是44% 。
