什么樣的生活“足跡極小”？.

　　Small-footprint living rers to a lifestyle that minimizes one's impact on the environment.

　　“低碳生活”是指一種將人對環(huán)境的影響降至最低的生活方式。

　　Small-footprint直譯是“足跡極小”，而根據(jù)詞條的解釋，我們可以看出，其實small-footprint中間是省略了 carbon的。因此，這個詞實際是“small carbon footprint living (碳足跡極小的生活)，也就是低碳生活。除了這種說法，low-carbon life也表達(dá)相同的意思。

　　Given their lower income relative to previous generations, many urban Millennials favor small-footprint living: studios, a few one bedrooms, some congregate housing, and micro-units.

　　考慮到相較前幾代人收入水平較低，許多城市里的00后更喜歡低碳生活的方式：小型公寓房，一居室，集合公寓以及微型單元。
