　　Just how cold is it in Kentucky? Apparently cold enough for an escaped prisoner to decide to turn himself in.

　　美國肯塔基州的天氣有多冷?答案是已經(jīng)冷到讓越獄囚犯決定自首回監(jiān)獄了。

　　Authorities say the inmate escaped from a minimum security facility in Lexington on Sunday. As temperatures dropped into the low single digits Monday, officials say the man walked into a motel and asked the clerk to call police.

　　據(jù)美國肯塔基州官方報道稱，囚犯羅伯特·維克周日從安保不嚴的列克星頓監(jiān)獄越獄。但第二天氣溫驟降低個位數(shù)(約-10°C)，警方稱，維克被迫走進一家汽車旅店，讓伙計報警。

　　Lexington police spokeswoman Sherelle Roberts says 42-year-old Robert Vick of Hartford told the clerk he wanted to turn himself in and escape the arctic air.

　　列克星敦警方發(fā)言人賽萊樂·羅伯茨稱，42歲的哈特福特人羅伯特·維克跟店里伙計說，他想自首并逃離北極一般的寒冷天氣。

　　Roberts says Vick was checked out by paramedics and returned to Blackburn Correctional Complex.

　　Department of Corrections spokeswoman Lisa Lamb says Vick would have been dressed in prison-issued khaki pants, a shirt and a jacket when he escaped.

　　Wind chill readings were 20 below zero Monday in Lexington.
