　　The film adaptation of Marvel&aposs Dr. Strange is to be directed by Scott Derrickson, according to reports.

　　The Sinister director is in talks to work on the superhero film, produced by the studio&aposs president Kevin Feige.

　　Dr. Strange, full name Doctor Stephen Vincent Strange, is a former neurosurgeon who serves as the Sorcerer Supreme - the primary protector of Earth against magical and mystical threats.

　　The character first appeared in Strange Tales #110 in July 1963, bore going on to feature in several self-titled series as well as Marvel video games, an animated TV series and his own direct-to-DVD film.
