職場(chǎng)英語(yǔ)：討厭的女房東.

　　身在異地工作，常常會(huì)感覺(jué)到一個(gè)人的辛苦。如果你能遇到一個(gè)善良的房東，這樣你的日子或許會(huì)好過(guò)一點(diǎn)。但是如果你沒(méi)有那么走運(yùn)，或者得罪了房東，那么你的生活也許會(huì)多了一點(diǎn)郁悶。

　　I can't believe what I did. I forgot to pay my rent this month, I got a call from my landlady thismorning and she was furious, I usually give her about 6 month's worth of postdated checksand she deposits them on the 1st of the month, but I guess she ran out I forget to give hermore. I feel like such an idiot.

　　我不敢相信自己會(huì)那么豬頭，居然忘了繳這個(gè)月的房租。今天早上接到女房東氣呼呼打來(lái)的電話。我通常給她6個(gè)月的遠(yuǎn)期支票，她則會(huì)在每個(gè)月第一天把支票存進(jìn)去，但我想她應(yīng)該是錢(qián)用完了，而我又忘了把錢(qián)給她，真是夠糊涂的。

　　She was yelling at me on the phone, telling me how irresponsible I am. But I have never enenbeen late with the rent bore and I have lived in that place for over a year now. I promised topay her tonight as soon as I am finished work, but it didn't seem to make her happy. I don'tknow what else I can do. It's not like I am skipping out on my rent.

　　她在電話里對(duì)我吼來(lái)吼去，說(shuō)我怎么那么不負(fù)責(zé)任。再怎么說(shuō)，我以前都沒(méi)有遲交過(guò)房租，而且也住了一年多了。我答應(yīng)今晚一下班就把房租給她，可是這好像沒(méi)令她高興。不然要我怎么辦?我又不是故意不交房租的，就是不小心忘了嘛!

　　It just slipped my mind. I feel really bad about this. It sucls to be yelled at. She was really nastyto me. I don't think she is being very fair or mature. And she could have reminded me lastmonth that she needed me to drop off more checks. Everyone makes mistakes. I just hope Idon't get evicted because of this. I love my apartment!

　　這件事弄得我心情超級(jí)不爽。被人吼的感覺(jué)真不是滋味。她對(duì)我的態(tài)度真的很惡劣，我覺(jué)得這樣不太公平，也讓人覺(jué)得她很不成熟。或許她上個(gè)月有提醒我要付支票吧。可是誰(shuí)不會(huì)犯錯(cuò)呀?我只希望她不會(huì)因?yàn)檫@件事把我趕出去。我可是很喜歡這間公寓的!
