　　I’m reporting for work today.

　　我今天來(lái)報(bào)到上班。

　　I heard Lao Wu quit his job.

　　我聽說(shuō)老李辭職了。

　　注釋：這句話要用過去時(shí)，動(dòng)詞用過去時(shí)heard 。quit his job，辭去工作。

　　Who will take over his position?

　　誰(shuí)將代替他的位置?

　　注釋：take over 代替，接任。

　　Would you like a transfer to another department?

　　你想換一個(gè)工作部門嗎?

　　注釋：transfer 轉(zhuǎn)換，切換; another department，另一個(gè)部門。

　　Are you going to apply for this position?

　　你準(zhǔn)備申請(qǐng)這個(gè)職位嗎?

　　注釋：apply for ，申請(qǐng)。be going to do sth,準(zhǔn)備做某事。

　　I heard Bill got a promotion.

　　我聽說(shuō)比而得到了提升。

　　We’ve had a lot of meetings lately.

　　我近來(lái)會(huì)議很多。

　　注釋：用現(xiàn)在完成時(shí)have had,表示從過去的某個(gè)時(shí)間開始的這一段時(shí)間，會(huì)議一直很多，強(qiáng)調(diào)的是動(dòng)作狀態(tài)的延續(xù)。

　　I don’t like working overtime.

　　我不喜歡加班。

　　注釋：表示一般的喜好，用like doing ,用現(xiàn)在分詞doing,而不用動(dòng)詞不定式to do.又如，I like swimming，我喜歡游泳。

　　Could you cover for me on Monday?

　　你星期一可以幫我代班嗎?

　　注釋：cover for ，代班。

　　I need you to arrange a staff meeting this afternoon.

　　我需要你今天下午安排個(gè)員工會(huì)議。

　　注釋：staff 是集體名詞，表示整體時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)用單數(shù);強(qiáng)調(diào)每個(gè)人時(shí)，謂語(yǔ)用復(fù)數(shù)。
