　　During the great unrest of 4th-century China, war breaks out between the feudal Northern Wei and Southern Liang dynasties. General Lin Xie of Liang takes his only 17-year-old son, Lin Shu (Hue Ge), into battle and successfully fights off the hostile Wei army. But when a political rival frames General Lin Xie, it causes the deaths of 70,000 Chiyan army soldiers. Lin Shu is able to escape with his life with the help of a loyal subordinate. Twelve years later, Lin Shu establishes the Jiangzuo Alliance and returns to the capital as the Chi Mei Changsu. When the Northern Wei forces mount another attack, to what lengths will Mei Changsu go to protect his own people? “Nirvana in Fire” is a 2015 Mainland drama series directed by Kong Sheng and Li Xue.

　　Nirvana in Fire is based on an Internet novel by author Hai Yan, who was invited to pen the screenplay for the television adaptation. Often called the Chinese version of The Count of Monte Cristo, the story revolves around a gifted young man named Lin Shu (Hu Ge), whose father serves as a general in the army. Already a high-ranking military officer by his teenager years, Lin Shu enjoyed a close friendship with Prince Xiao Jingyan (Wang Kai) and was even engaged to Princess Nihuang (Liu Tao).

　　12年后，林殊更名改姓，以江左盟主梅長蘇的新身份回到大梁，他變成了他兒時好友皇子景琰的謀士。盡管譽(yù)王蕭景桓和太子全力拼爭，但是梅長蘇還是成功的幫景琰鋪平了路，奪取了皇位，并昭雪了多年前赤焰軍所遭沉冤。

　　Like the original novel, Nirvana in Fire will not be set in any particular dynasty. However, the production company, Shandong Entertainment Media, revealed that the costumes will be based on the pre-Tang Dynasty style.

　　如同小說原本一樣，瑯琊榜將不預(yù)設(shè)其發(fā)生的朝代。但是出品公司山東影視傳媒集團(tuán)表示，戲中服裝將走前唐風(fēng)。
