  4. Indisputable answers, which are general and vague, are always the correct ones.

  a) Words that indicate a indisputable answer: usually, sometimes, may, can, some, most

  b) Words that indicate disputable answer: always, must, everybody, all, complete, never

  5. Respect for professionals (doctors, scientists, economists, writers and artists)

  6. ETS does not take strong position about anything. Moderate emotion, such as “slightly critical” rather than “scornful or envious”, “admiring” rather than “overly enthusiastic” Never go too far in an answer!

  3. The passage assumes that…--find a flaw to fix

  a) Any alternative cause?

  b) If two objects are analogous

  c) If statistics are representative

  d) Pay attention to jump from one term to another

  4. Which of the following, if true, would most strengthen the conclusion drawn above

  a) Answers contain new information. Answer choice from the passage is wrong.

  b) The answer always fills the gaps of logic in the passage.

  5. Which of the following, if true, would most serious weaken the passage

  a) The answers always turn on the gaps in the logic. Find alternatives and ask if the statistics are representative.
