Introduction
CCI The Renaissance School is a coeducational boarding high school providing students a high academic standard, pre-university North American education curriculum in a unique medieval/Renaissance Italy setting. The CCI academic program is semestered (full courses completed in each of two five-month semesters), with all courses taught in English, except for Italian. Boys and girls live in separate residences, supervised by highly qualified dons. Our teaching staff is excellent, expert, and experienced, all possessing degrees in their subject areas as well as teacher qualifications. All our graduates have been accepted into universities in Canada, the United States and Europe.

  • CCI The Renaissance School was founded in 1995 by a Canadian teacher with the purpose of giving students the opportunity to study in English within the Ontario Secondary School curriculum while living in Italy. The aim of the School is to provide excellent education and offer small class sizes, state-of-the-art facilities, a rich extracurricular program, and a strong mentorship program. The mission statement of the School is "to inspire students, through rigorous teaching and sensitive, collegial mentoring, to actualize their highest intellectual and moral potential, and become fully ready for fective university study and responsible adult life, while living communally at the historic center of our modern civilization."
  • The school has a maximum of 120 students, all of whom are boarding students. CCI is a member of ECIS, the European Council of International Schools. Students from around the world attend the school, including Canada, USA, Brazil, Bermuda, Spain, England, Belgium, Italy, Latvia, Japan, Mexico, and others. The school does not offer any ESL programs.
  • CCI The Renaissance School occupies several buildings, combining the ancient and the modern. The buildings, all in the historical center of the town and all within a short walking distance of each other, include the school, the residences, the inn, and staff apartments. Lanciano is located 2 hours directly east of Rome on the Adriatic coast. Frequent school excursions take students to visit many parts of Italy during their stay at the school. Extra-curricular activities includes many sports such as soccer, running, basketball, floor hockey, tennis as well as clubs such as drama, music, choir, photography, and yearbook
