1 A：Good morning.

B: I have an appointment.

A：Okay. please fill out this form while you wait. I ll call you when the doctor s ready.

這里我們要學(xué)習(xí)一個生詞appointment,意為 預(yù)約，會面 ，如果想和醫(yī)生預(yù)約就診我們可以說I need to make an appointment. 上面對話中我預(yù)約了還可以說成I came for an appointment.

2 A:I think I broke a rib.

B: Let me examine you. Please take off your top.Where does it hurt?

A: There.

B: We d better take an X-ray.

take off 脫衣服，your top 意為腰部以上的衣服，我們還可以用strip 表示脫，如please strip to your waist. to your waist意為腰部以上, Where does it hurt?醫(yī)生此刻正在觸診，他的言外之意是如果碰到痛處，請說一聲，同樣的表達還有Tell me where it hurts. Tell me if it hurts.

B:I m not feeling well.

A: I see. Let me take your temperature.

B: Okay.

A: Put this thermometer under your arm.

What brought you in?直譯為 什么讓你來這的呢? 這句是醫(yī)生在詢問患者癥狀時常用的句子，怎么了。 take one s temperature 給某人量體溫，注意固定用take.

4 A: What s the matter with me?

B: You have the flu bug/ You have a fever.

A: How long will I have it ?

B: About one week.

You have the flu bug,flu流感 bug說的是virus病毒，這句話直譯為你帶有流感病毒。 You have a fever. fever 發(fā)燒，high fever 高燒，同義句還可以說I have a high temperature. I m feeling hot.

5 A: I ll write you a prescription.

B: Is there a pharmacy nearby?

A: Just down the street.

prescribe 寫處方開處方，prescription處方，I ll make out a prescription. Take this to the pharmacist.拿著它去藥房吧，pharmacy藥房，pharmacist帶有表示人的-ist詞尾，意為藥劑師。

6 A：Thank you for waiting. Here s your medicine.

B: When should I take these pills?

A: Take one after each meal.

B: Thankyou.

吃藥我們通常用動詞take,have英語中并沒有drink medicine這個說法。
