Emory College is a true fit for a student who values academic independence and intellectual engagement. Oxford College is ideal for a student who seeks a small liberal arts college experience and early opportunities for leadership. Oxford students benefit from smaller classes, personal interaction between students and professors, and extensive opportunities to get involved, all of which lay the foundation for the specialized work they do when they continue as juniors at Emory's Atlanta campus.
Both colleges will train you to make creative decisions, approach problems from different perspectives, and think compassionately. 　　Oxford College是埃默里大學在其老校址開設的兩年制文理學院。埃默里對Oxford學院與本部Emory College的描述是“academically equivalent, but environmentally distinct. (學術上等同，環(huán)境上不同)”。Oxford學生讀完兩年后在大三大四可以直接進入埃默里大學的Emory College，也可以選擇申請埃默里大學商學院和護士學院，錄取時也是給予相等考慮的。
　　成立原因
　　埃默里大學1919年遷址至亞特蘭大，但校方不想將其歷史荒廢，加之學校本身非常注重文理教育，于是學校決定在原校址開設一個文理學院，即為Oxford College。
　　優(yōu)勢
　　Oxford教育質(zhì)量從本科文理教育這方面上說可能比埃默里本部還好，因為學生的邏輯思考、學術寫作等等水平都在小班培養(yǎng)、大量練習交流中磨練了出來。而且Oxford所有的課程都有教授來上，而埃默里則會有一些基礎課程由助教來上。
　　另外，因為Oxford是文理學院小班授課的模式，教授和學生都很熟悉。當兩年后從Oxford畢業(yè)了學生也可以很方便的向教授要推薦信從而轉(zhuǎn)到別的學校。每屆畢業(yè)的Oxford學生都有很多轉(zhuǎn)去了常春藤名校。
　　還有一點，就是學費便宜。有很多來Oxford的學生都同時接到了常春藤等名校的錄取，但是選擇來這里，因為這里不僅能給他們一個堅實的教育，還能讓家里省下一筆錢。
　　缺點
　　因為畢竟是小型文理學院，資源肯定不能和埃默里大學相比。比如科學實驗器材，圖書館，健身房等等。而且因為學校處在比較僻靜的地帶，社交生活也 會相對單調(diào)。不過學校距離埃默里也不算太遠，有45英里，開車幾十分鐘就到了。所以如果有需要，也完全可以利用埃默里的資源，不會錯過太多。

　　學校錄取的SAT分數(shù)范圍約為：
