SAT寫作究竟要分析些什么-Evidence（1）

對于各位身經百戰(zhàn)的雅思托福童鞋來說，SAT這種分析文寫作實在是讓人迷茫，難以下手。接下來，我們將會細分成幾個部分，從evidence，reasoning，以及stylistic or persuasive elements幾個方面來進行分析。

要想寫得符合要求，當然得細讀要求：

這個prompt要求考生從3個方面進行論證

我們先來了解一下，對于這3個方面，我們具體是要做些什么分析？

step 1: identity

step 2: quote, paraphrase, summarize

step 3: analyze

identify

簡單的識別出來該部分內容使用了什么證據支撐，是example，statistics或者其他的？

The author uses/adopts/utilizes/employs xxx to support/back up/buttress/emphasize his argument that xxx.

quote, paraphrase, summarize

quote – 原文信息較為簡潔，保留原文語言風格

paraphrase – 原文信息繁雜，用自己語言整理

summarize – 原文信息冗長，進行適當簡化總結

總之，就是讓考官知道你分析的是針對文本哪部分的內容就可以。

Bogard starts his article off by referring to a personal story – a summer night spent on the Minnesota lake where “the woods so dark that hands disappeared before eyes.”In such a brief anecdote, Bogard reminds readers of a time when they could enjoy the natural darkness. By drawing his audiences with a person encounter, the writer evokes the wonder of the night sky. He encourages those with similar experience to recall the beauty of the nature, and those who are not fortunate enough to witness such wonder to imagine and anticipate such experience, offering a baseline of his argument.
