The survey from Career Builder demonstrated that that plenty of people were faking itobserving that 28 per cent of workers called in sick over the last year whenthey were feelingjust fine, CBS reported.

29 percent said they wanted to relax for the day, 21 per cent had a doctor&aposs appointment and19 per cent wanted to get more sleep and approximately 11 percent said that bad weatherkept them home.

Some of the worst excuses that people give includes that they got lucky last night and did notknow where they were the morning or they got stuck in the blood pressure machine at thegrocery store.

According to the survey, about a third of employers said they had checked onsick workers tosee if they were telling the truth.
